SLEEP THROUGH THE STATIC

Four open windows, the warm hot summer air, sharp turns, and Jack Johnson.

We are the authors of ourselves, of our stories, our adventures and experiences. Some of those are honored to be in each-others' presence, and as we learn, the explanation of those experiences may change.

Selfawareness is a big deal in my profession, you have to be more selfaware as you help others to do so, the whole process of it can be demanding at times.

Conscious Collision

Sometimes when someone needs a listening ear, you only become aware of the act of being that ear toward the end of the conversation, and then you become intentional about it. I guess it's weird that way, but at least your doing something that pleases the person who needs it.

I always promote the "This American Life" podcast to anyone that has an IPod, its intellectual and its heaven for those of us that like documentaries and real life, or a distinct narration voice such as Ira Glass.

In the absence of my wife I have become occupied with cleaning our house, "it does keep your mind occupied" someone told me, but for me it doesn't make me miss her less, and why would it?

There is something nostalgic about flying in a plane for me, I think about family a lot and feel as a traveler as if I'm are the only one that is on this wave length of thought in the cabin. After all, everyone else is busy with their best sellers and their portable DVD players. I also love the fact that no matter the weather, once you're above the clouds there is always sun.

Music stimulates the brain. With that in mind (NPI), I wonder how people experience music, I came up with a few ways:
1. The music makes the listener think about external things or life, meaning the music stimulates the listener to think about these things.
2. The listener tries to always think about what the song is about or means and how it relates to the person that is singing it or wrote it, specially famous artists.
3. The listener enjoys the music for what it is, meaning the great beat, moving strings part, the softness or loudness of it, basically how it all comes together.

Lonely Planet...
